Savannah Erasmus


Savannah Erasmus (she/her/hers) is a “fashion” comedian based in Vancouver, from Kikino Metis Settlement and Cold Lake First nation in Treaty 6 Territory.

Her Indigenous perspective and “fashion focused” lens creates a fresh and unique stand up persona that audiences adore. She has appeared at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Vancouver, Big Fun and Unibrow Arts Festival and made her debut on Just For Laughs Toronto this fall!


Chelazon Leroux

Chelazon Leroux from Canada’s Drag Race is Layten Byhette’s stage name. Chelazon(she/he/they) is a Two-Spirit Dene First Nation Multidisciplinary Artist. Chelazon’s artistic pursuits include: Drag, stand-up comedy, and social media content creation.


Chelazon uses her Indigenous identity – as a status member of Buffalo River Dene Nation (Treaty 10) and family ties to Fond Du Lac First Nation (Treaty 8) – as the foundation for her creative works. Chelazon is best known for her Auntie persona and TikTok posts. Chelazon uses her social media influence to educate and entertain audiences worldwide.


Her goal is to utilize her responsibilities as a Two-Spirt multimedia artist to bring Two-Spirit’s historical role into the modern world. To educate and entertain audiences worldwide on the experiences, stories and beauty of Indigenous identity.

Dakota Ray Hebert

Dakota Ray does comedy [Album: I’ll Give You An Indian Act, Just For Laughs (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal), New Wave of Standup (CBC Gem), Comedy Night with Rick Mercer(CBC)], television [Shelved (CTV & Crave), Run the Burbs (CBC + PBS), Crazy Like a Lynx (APTN), Roast Battles Canada (CTV & Crave), Zarqa (CBC Gem), Acting Good (CTV & Crave)], and movies [Run Woman Run (Crave)].

She has a skin baby (Frankie), two fur babies (Lieutenant Dan & Mr. Bean), countless plant babies, and the world’s best/greatest/funniest sweetheart and life partner (Dylan).

Brenda Prince

Winner of the 2023 Showcase Showdown, Vancouver based Ojibway comedian Brenda Prince started performing stand up in 2019. Brenda talks about the absurdities of the real world with unique jokes and parodies with a good dosage of realism and satire. She shares her Indigenous worldview to make people laugh and at the same time, make them think too. Winner of the 2023 Showcase Showdown.

Ticia Aks

Ama sa!! My name is Ticia, you might know me as TicAks from TikTok!! I am proudly from the gitxsan nation, way up in the North Coast!! My lax yip (territory) is Anspayaxw which translates to the hiding place. I am coming to spread my good medicine passed down to me from a long line of hilarious matriarchs.

Meg MacKay

Meg MacKay an l’nu/scottish comedian and comedy writer originally from Prince Edward Island. As a stand up they’ve performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and were one of the Just for Laughs New Faces of 2021. As a comedy writer they’ve written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Baroness von Sketch Show, and they were a co-producer/writer on the upcoming Crave/APTN series Don’t Even.



Issa Kixen

Issa Kixen is an Anishinaabe Two Spirit comedian/journalist/Producer who is a band member of Couchiching First Nation, Ontario. They have traveled across Canada and the USA as a Comedian and improviser. They use comedy as a tool in dealing with racism, transphobia and ableism. They are the Co-founder/producer of WOKE Comedy Hour, Associate producer at CBC Manitoba, was featured on APTN’s The Laughing Drum, a member of the Bannock Babes drag collective and they are the executive producer for Minogondaagan: the good voice podcast.
